NOTE FROM THE CURATOR:
“I AM AFRAIID IN THE FUTURE, WE WILL LOOK BACK AT THIS TIME IN HISTORY AND SUMARIZE IT TO ONE EVENT, NEGLECTING A SERIES OF OUTSHINED REALITES. CONTEMPORARY HISTORY HOLDS DRASTICALLY DIFFERENT REALITIES ACROSS THE WORLD HOLDING IN COMMON: MAKING IT TO TOMOROW. 2025 IS A TIME WHERE INDIVIDUALS HAVE FOUND SURVIVAL IN POWER, JOY, MIGRATION, FAITH... JUST TO REALIZE THAT THE BIGGEST SURVIVAL SKILL LAYS IN OUR SKIN, WE MUST ABSORB THE ENVIROMENT AROUND US, TO SURVIVE, AND THRIVE"

The World We Walked Is a photography exhibition and fundraiser initiative that highlights the powerful and personal journeys of young adults from 7 different nationalities as they travelled through the Americas, Europe, MENA, West Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia. Designed as both a celebration and a storytelling tool, The World We Walked has held Shenzhen and Beijing as their host cities. The initiative also aims to spark engagement in pupils interested in the Baret Scholars global gap year, raising funds dedicated to a small art merit-based scholarship for the program’s upcoming cohorts.

Simbius Documentary
After the premature death of her father, environmental photographer Rodrigo Baleia, young Alice decides to carry out his Simbius project, which investigates cases of mutualism between species, highlighting the interactions between the forest and native peoples of the Amazon, where cooperation outshines competition.
In each episode, they look for examples of good coexistence, which demonstrate a more altruistic way of life. A relationship that Alice had with her father, but she still needs to develop as her legacy.
